James La Fata received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. He then worked for three years in Dallas, TX, at the accounting firm of Ernst & Young as an auditor and tax specialist as he pursued his CPA license.

James then attended law school at the University of New Mexico, graduating in 2002, and completed additional studies at the University of Florida Levin College of Law with a Master's of Law in Taxation. Today James practices primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy and Foreclosure. He is admitted to practice law in the states of New Mexico and Illinois, and he speaks both Spanish and Italian.

We offer two convenient Cook County locations by covering both the North and South Sides of the Greater Chicago Metropolitan area. Late evening and weekend appointments are available.
